Saints 18U fall to Red Raiders

The Saints 18U did not get on track this weekend as they fell to the Red Raiders 18U in a 5-2 decision.  Turnovers and poor defensive play plagued the Saints as the Red Raiders took advantage of the opportunities they were given.  The Red Raiders opened the scoring in the first minute of the game, converting on a 2-on-0 opportunity.  Sean Malone answered 2 shifts later to tie the score, but the Red Raiders would add two more goals before the period would end.  Continuing to out work the Saints in the second period, the Red Raiders would extend their lead to 4-1.  Sean Malone gave the Saints some life early in the third with his second goal of the game, but the Red Raiders would close out the game with a goal with just over 2 minutes remaining.  Brandon Mueller would make 26 saves in his first appearance of the season.

Next up for the 18U is the Jr Bruins Shootout held in Marlborough, MA.
